Flowing from femblog noise, the members of SuperGroup (and their mothers) butt their heads against generational divides. Through precise layering of text, sound, and an evolving movement score created through successive impulses, The Tent Has Been Pulled Down is contemporary dance/theater pregnant with contradictions.

Created and performed by SuperGroup (Sam Johnson, Erin Search-Wells and Jeffrey Wells)

Red Eye kicks off New Works 4 Weeks Festival, festival preview in City Pages, 5/24/12

SuperGroup is the collaboration of Erin Search-Wells, Sam Johnson, and Jeffrey Wells. SuperGroup actually got their start as Red Eye Works in Progress artists in 2008! Since then, they have performed all over Minneapolis, including full length works at the Bedlam Theatre, the Northwinds Lofts, and the Southern Theater. They have been chosen three times to appear in the Walker Art Center's Choreographers' Evening (2008, 2010, 2011), have made multiple appearances in queer performance settings including Dykes Do Drag, Queertopia, and Pleasure Rebel, and have shown long form improvisations as a part of Art-A-Whirl and at the Walker in conjunction with the exhibit Yves Klein: With the Void, Full Powers. In 2011, SuperGroup was honored to be nominated for a Sage Award for Outstanding Ensemble.
