Please save the date for Christian Bardin’s record release show at Red Eye Theater. Recorded under the moniker CB. , Shorts is a 15-track album exploring personal muck, upheaval, and rebirth through some unflinching vulnerable-ass lyrics and vocals with hard and soft edges.

The evening will include a full performance of Shorts by CB. as well as house band Eric Mayson and Toby Ramaswamy, supporting sets by Theo Langason, Peter Morrow, and Aby Wolf, and will conclude with a dance party feat. DJ Toss of Hovland, MN (Ross Orenstein). In addition to celebrating this artistic milestone, we will also be raising funds to replace instruments, other music equipment, and life goods that were stolen from Christian’s home last November in a devastating break-in. You can expect entertaining shorts-themed opportunities to share your support throughout the evening.

"Writing Shorts was the beginning of a tentative process of trying to get to know the sound of my own voice. After abuse, after getting out, being alone. I re-learned how to play the piano, writing things I could barely play... I kept listening to myself, kept writing, came into my trans nonbinary-ness….and 100% of everything is better. I haven’t always known how to be myself, but I’ve always felt like myself when I’m wearing ~shorts~."
